I really don't know the difference between 'that' and 'it'.
For example sometimes, I use That's cool! and sometimes It's cool! and like this sentences. I need your help

Most of the time you'll be talking about a situation in general. That's cool!

But sometimes you'll be talking about a specific thing that is cool - a car, a house, etc. It's cool! (That thing is cool.)
