That included/including

Bill Monroe, whose repertory, views on musical collaboration, and vocal style influenced generations of bluegrass artists, also inspired many musicians, including Elvis Presley and Jerry Garcia, whose music differed significantly from his own.

I guess in above sentence including... is an adverbial modifier modifying the action of the main clause. Should n't it be adjectival modifier (that included)?

Am I missing something

Thank you

Garcia' modifies 'musicians'. You could also use 'who include' – they are 2 different structures to say the same thing.
