1. That she lost this match was terrible.
2. Her losing this match was terrible.
What is the difference between 1 and 2?

3. That Brutus killed Caesar may have been caused by Brutus's political ambitions and personal jealousies
4. Brutus's killing Caesar may have been caused by Brutus's political ambitions and personal jealousies
What is the difference between 3 and 4?

5. I'm sure that he will win the game.
6. I'm sure of his winning the game.
What is the difference between 5 and 6?

3 doesn't sound quite natural to me.
6 doesn't sound quite natural either.
No difference between 7 and 8 (but you need an apostrophe in #8 - father's)

( 3) is not very natural.

5. I'm sure that he will win the game. - more natural.
7. I'm proud that my father is a good cook. - more natural.
