Talking about a job I had a year ago. I say:

That was what made me realized I didn't belong in the business world. Or

That is what made me realized I didn't belong in the business world. Or

That is what made me realize I didn't belong in the business world.

ARe all three useable?

What about:

That was what made me realize...

since that = job I had last year happened in the past.

Not much difference here. You can present the equality as timeless -- outside of time -- by using the present tense, or match the tense with what follows (made) in the past.
