The four pie charts display the outcomes of the surveys in an African country consulting teenagers about the main reasons for using their phone from the year 2016 to 2019 respectively.
Overall, there are four main reasons in the use of phone of teens: social networks, email, digital camera and phone calls. Nevertheless, from the charts, there is just a few changes throughout four years.
Fluctuating between 48% and 56%, social networks is mostly used by teens since 2016. The next high percentage which took up a quarter in 2016 is email. Teens used phone to send messages largely but this percentage has plunged to 19% in 2019 gradually.
Two lower activities of using phone that were up to 25% in 2016, 2019 and 28% in 2017, 2018 are for digital camera and making phone calls. The use of camera also has slightly rose to 20% in 2019 after just 15 % in initiation. Whearas, the lowest proportion that is making phone calls which had a peak from 10-13% in 2017, this figure fell sharply to 5% in 2019.
