Thanking lord?

The preacher say all the things we should be thankful for. But the way it's written makes it a bit hard for me to understand. For exmaple "Thank you for wisdom", here, the wisdom is generally speaking yes? Just wisdom that doesn't belong to anyone. So, thank you (lord) for the wisdom?

And while you're down there say: thank you for grace, thank you for mercy, thank you for understanding. Thank you for wisdom, thank you for parents, thank you for love. Thank you for kindness, thank you for Humility.
