Is this expression correct? I see it being used a lot, especially by non-native speakers of English but for some reason, it sounds quite unpleasant to my ears.

Do native speakers use it?

Hardly. I've only heard it used by a few people from the southern states of the USA, where people use a few other stilted words and speak in distinctive, southern accents.
