I am not sure if it is grammatically OK to split "thank you" and the phrase that follows, as in the a's below?

(1a) Thank you, John, for your support.

(1b) Thank you for your support, John.

(2a) Thank you, John, for organizing my birthday party.

(2b) Thank you for organizing my birthday party, John.
