"Thank you for your time"

My Oxford Learner's Dictionary of Academic English says that Thank you for your time/attention is used only in spoken English, so it is not good in academic emails.

Please tell me what you think about using Thank you for your time/attention in business letters or emails. Is that okay?

'Attention' is odd in a letter closing. However, I often use 'Thank you for your time and consideration.'
