Hi all
RE: Thank you for your advice and for listening to my problems.
I said this after someone listened to me talking about a problem I was facing and offered me advice. I have a few questions about this sentence. First, do you I need to include the second "for"? Second, if I only mentioned one problem, should I just use the singular "problem" instead of the plural "problems"? Third, would there be any difference if I had said "Thank you for your advice and for listening to me"?
Thank you for helping me out.
Best regards

Peaceblinkfriend First, do you I need to include the second "for"? Yes, I would do so. g.

Yes, I would do so. It reads better, e.g. prevents the reader from expecting further words governed by "your".
