Thank you for letting me watch

A pizza delivery guy has been watching a sports game on TV at a guy he's been delivering a pizza to's place. As the game has ended:

Pizza delivery guy: Thank you for letting me watch.

Guy: You don't want to stay for another game?

Pizza delivery guy: No, I better get back. My boss will kill me.

Question: Is it normal to just say "thank you for letting me watch." or should I add something to it?
