hello, sir
now i have a problem.
i plan to write to some persons whom i just know their names ,but i did not know them well, or you can say we are strangers, so at the beginning of the letter, how can i address them, i have learned one style in my middle school, that is "dear concerning to whom", i do not know wheather it is proper to greet a stranger, these strangers are college professors or docters, so i have to write my letter very carefully as the english is my second language, i may get my poster doctor from one of these professor, so please help me to choose a situable address when writing to a stranger.
