Thank you for having helped me yesterday.

Thank you for helping me yesterday. VS. Thank you for having helped me yesterday.

I think the second one is more correct in meaning and grammar because the happening of helping me happened yesterday, so we need to make some difference between the verb in the main clause and the verb in subordinate clause. What do you think?
