Thanks Davkett for your answer about "any more than any emotions are rational". It's a comment of Yehudi Menuhin about Glenn Gould.
By the way, what does mean exactly here "northmanship". (It's this word only a Glenn Gould's invention?):
' I don't go let me say again for this NORTHMANSHIP at all. People say, " wel, were you ever up at the North Pole ..." you know, it's pretty childish'
