Hi everyone,
I was asked a question I didn´t honestly know how to answer:
For General English, when someone says :
-"Thank you!!", you should reply:
-" Anytime!!", or something like that.
But in a Corporate Business English environment, if you´re having say, an email conversation with a client, you should NOT say anything back as to "let them have the last word", whenever the conversation is about to finish, you should let the las client´s letter with Thank you, as the last email. Period. you don´t reply back.
Why is this?
thx
", or something like that. Many people would disagree with this advice. There's nothing wrong with just saying nothing when the other person says 'Thank you'.

There is no strict rule about it. You won't have your collar felt if you don't.
