Grammar

Thank you ,another question

I read a sentence in an English magzine which goes like this:
A major ingredient TO taking the pain out of a stressful day is a supportive partner at home.
So obviously , TO is a prep here , so can we convert it into an Infinitive which also can be used to modify a noun as attributinve?
That is: A major ingredient TO take the pain out of a stressful day is a supportive partner at home.

if it could ,any changed meaning? and how can we judge the TO behind a noun stands for prep or infinitive?
thank you so much.

yzh1978 A major ingredient TO taking the pain out of a stressful day is a supportive partner at home. I think the grammar is wrong. It should read 'an ingredient in/for taking'.
