Hi there , could you advise how i can write in a formal way thank you message for dinner for my boss , i me and a relative of mine invited him to dinner

" thank you for the great dinner , we greatly appreciate that you have accepted our invitation"

Could you kindly give an example how can i explain that we have enjoyed the dinner and for the conversations that we had ?
