"than" vs "rather than"

Hi.
Please help me.
Which one of the sentences below is correct?

A) It's more like capitalism than Marxism.
B) It's more like capitalism rather than Marxism.

My opinion is A. "More than" is a comparative of two things. "Rather than" is a negation of one thing in favor of another.

My opinion is A.

"More than" is a comparative of two things.
"Rather than" is a negation of one thing in favor of another. It is like saying "instead of" or "__ and not__"

Since the start of both sentences contain "more" I believe A to be the correct answer.

It's more like capitalism than (it is) Marxism.

Without "more" you could have,
