than THOSE OF?

Hello,

I have a car that goes faster than THOSE of my neighbors.

Is it ok to use "those" to refer to "cars of my neighbors" even though I only refer to ONE CAR (mine)?

Is this something clearly understood so that I can use "those" in this case?

Thanks.
