Thais

Hi.
Can I say:
"What happened to Thais?"
I am complaining about Thais today and their manners.
Is this correct. Or should I say:
"What happened to us Thais?" or "What happened to the Thais?"

Thank you AlpheccaStars. So you can't say just "What happened to Thais?" I ask because I saw a movie and the actress said: "What happened to real men?"
I can't remember what movie it was.

When we use a nationality name to mean any person or persons of that nation, we commonly use the definite article.
An exception is when we are making generalizations about the people.
But, if the word is not plural (thus, the same as the adjective), we always use the definite article.

Thank you, AlpheccaStars. That's very helpful.
But you could say:
"What happened to real men?"
Not "the real men".
Right?

This implies that "real" men do not exist anymore in the entire world. All the remaining males are something other than "real."

"What happened to the real men?" - This refers to a particular group of men who were described sometime in the past as "the real men.".
