TGIF, TTFN, SWAK, SRD

Hi,

I was told that the abbrevations mentioned in the subject came from some cartoon figure, but I can't remember who it was, Garfield or Pooh Bear or someone else. Would you please let me know from which animated cartoon these expressions came and I aspire to know more cartoon expressions that are actually used in daily life. Thanks a lot.

I don't think they originated in a cartoon (definitely NOT Winnie the Pooh as this was a series of books long before Disney murdered the character) but I guess they get used there. I know the first two but what are the last two short for? B.

  • B.
  • from the Thunderbirds, which I don't think has any meaning beyond the initials?

The only really cartoon related one i can think of is F.A.B. from the Thunderbirds, which I don't think has any meaning beyond the initials?
