Hello, Nina. If I can be frank with you, with advanced students it is time to create or aggregate your own materials for general courses. Few advanced learners are interested in plodding through a textbook, and I have seen none appropriate for the level of advanced learners.

I also read newspapers, watch movies, and read as much as possible. I was just wondering if there are some interesting textbooks too. Cambridge Academic English C1 Advanced Student's Book has very useful vocabulary. I was looking for something similar, and also for books that teach how to improve one's English academic writing.

I suggest that you find an academic writing book (and lots of material is also available on the internet) geared toward native-speaker college students.
