Text vs texts

Hi

My friend and I have revised some sentences in a draft journal paper. We wanted to describe this to some one. I was wondering which of the following sentences would be correct to describe this:

Texts have been revised.

Or

Text has been revised.

I thought that texts meant books or a volume of articles and that use of singular "text" would be appropriate. However, i was still not sure and thought it better to get help from the community here. Thanks in advance for your help.
