Text about expectations for an application at an art university

I want to get into an postgraduate programm of an art university in the netherlands. I have to write 3 texts for an application form.

1) Content of my work
2) Work plan for my stay
3) Expectations

I started with the 3rd text and would also like to post the other two in the next days.
I would be very pleased if somebody could help me to correct them and tell me if the text would convince you. Since I learned spanish very intense in the last 2 years, my english is gone...

The question:
What contribution do you expect from the visiting artists and theoreticians and/or technical advisors? How would these contact contribute to your work.
(Max. size 1 a4 (55 lines))

My response:
Since I heard about this programm through the artist ***, I began to collect information about it and I was immediately convinced that I will apply for it.
I see many benefits in participating at this programm. The *** provides a context that fosters concentration on work, reflection and discussion – thats exactly what I need at this stage of my development.

I am always looking for new points of views and possibilities to express my aims better.

Since I worked with/for some artists (***) in the last years I became acquainted with so many different ways of “beeing artist”, the working process and also kinds of attempts and methods that it is quite difficult for me to point out exactly what I expact from all the “experts” I would meet at the ***.

I hope for an atmosphere of help and advice, where I can focus on new points of view, discussions, controversies, sometimes concrete help … - everything but “fixed solutions”.

I'm open to discuss with other people and I like to communicate. I hope I could exchange cultural, personal or working experiences with everybody there.

I hope to understand more about working and living as an artist, to see and discuss artwork of others and trough this getting a glimpse of what they are doing and why.

I am highly motivated to join as I wish to develop new skills needed for responding to the varied and complex challenges leading to put am idea or a feeling into an visual context.
It's one of the best programs for postgraduate studies... and I find the technical workshops proposed in the last years really usefull for my education and future professional carier. I hope to get introduced to new techniques I could use. Sometimes I can’t work how I want to, because of a lack of knowledge of materials. Good training will extend much of what is possible to realize for me.

Moreover, I always liked the attendance in a foreign country, because beeing abroad means for me to really have the time to focus on my work and also getting introduced to new ways of approach because of not beeing so much engaged by my “normal day life”.

I am confident that studiing at the *** will help me gain experience, knowledge and contacts that would allow me to go on on my way as an artist and to fill the gap between what I want to do and what I can do in both technical and intellectual ways.
