[7] For all the insights that DNA provides, does it ever warm the heart? The only case that comes to mind is that of Cheddar Man, a 9,000-year-old skeleton found a century ago in a cave near the village of Cheddar, in England, and now kept in boxes at London’s Natural History Museum. A genetic test recently determined that Cheddar Man is the direct ancestor of a forty-two-year old schoolteacher named Adrian Targett, who was born just a few miles from the cave, and whose family lived in the Cheddar area for, well, generations.
In paragraph [7], why does the writer find the story of Cheddar Man heartwarming? 1.Because it shows that DNA can tell us who we are related to. 2.Because DNA told us something about a man who lived long ago. 3.Because DNA allowed the skeleton to be brought home after being kept in a museum. 4.Because DNA revealed a family link persisting in the same region.
I think both '1' and '4' are correct. What do you think?
