Hi,
I don't know how "consequently" fit the answer. The first sentence is telling that people don't like censorship and in the second sentence it is mentioned that the government like to ignore the issue of pornographic websites. I don't see any relation between the two sentence. I would appreciate it if you would help me to figure out that.
Recent polls show that most Canadians oppose censorship of the Internet. ________ the government is happy to ignore the issue of pornographic websites.

What I don't understand is the relation between the opposition and happiness of the government. Why he government is happy? What is the issue of pornographic websites?
