Territoral

Hi teachers~

I am looking for some expressions that can describe somebody who isn't nice to new person in the group and tries to give the new person a hard time. In my class, some people (adults) get cranky (maybe not obviously) when a new member accidentally takes their seat.

Is 'territorial' the only expression~?
