Terms of Mediation

I am reading Terms of Mediation from a contract and came by this sentence:

"However, evidence that is independently admissible or discoverable shall not be rendered inadmissible or non-discoverable by virtue of its use during the mediation."

OK, perhaps it's all legalese, but what does it actually mean? Your help will be much appreciated! Emotion: smile

In simplistic terms, it seems to mean If evidence is 'OK', then using it in mediation won't make it 'not OK'. Note we are not lawyers. If this is important to you, consult a lawyer.
