Terms for meals

A meal between breakfast and lunch is called BRUNCH

What do you call a meal between lunch and dinner? (afternoon tea is different)

In the 19th century, male artisans went home for a brief dinner, where their wives fed them, but as the workplace was removed farther from the home, working men took to providing themselves with something portable to eat at a break in the schedule during the middle of the day. In parts of India a light, portable lunch is known as tiffin.

I know the word Tiffin, although haven't heard it used for years and then it was used by more elderly persons. I doubt most people in the UK would know. High Tea was often later than afternoon tea (more of a working class term). It was similar to afternoon tea but also included light ht dishes (like cheese on toast).
