Terminology/meaning

When one says on Thursday "i will see you next Saturday". Does that mean 2 days from Thursday or 2 days and a week from Thursday?

Top answer

I would assume that it is the next Saturday that comes by. "I'll see you a week (from) Saturday" would be the Saturday in the following week. If said on Friday, it would be confusing.

If said on Friday, it would be confusing. Normally, I'd say "tomorrow" or "a week from tomorrow."
