i work in a sport club and want write a letter about one of our player contract termination but i dont know what i must write ,

so please of you have any idea and writting text inform me

Depending on the laws of the land of where you live, it is often best to put as little as possible in writing.

Dear Sir (Name):

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we have terminated your (player) contract as of 1 January 2011.

Thank you for your past services, and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

When dealing with terminations, it is usually best not to provide reasons or rationale. Simply stick to the facts. Keep it brief, very brief.

As a consultant, I sign those frequently. So do most other consultants. In fact, I can't think of any that don't. And it isn't just limited to intellectual pursuits. Just ask Tiger Woods how fast his contracts were cancelled unilaterally.

Contracts have provisions for termination by either party. If I am terminated, for whatever reason, there's a payout clause. And I decide to terminate, I must provide X amount of notice.

The client doesn't want to be handcuffed. And the consultant wants to be able to exercise its professional freedom. That is, if it disagrees with the client or the client fails to cooperate, there's an easy out.

To do otherwise is, at best, silly.

My advice stands.

As an afterthought, Clive, I will elaborate for your and other readers' benefit. The reason why you keep things very brief is to discourage lawsuits. If you provide any reasons that might reflect upon the consultant's work or capacity, then you have ventured down a path you might not wish to follow. The consultant might disagree with your assessment, and then you're headed to the courts.

Put differently, there's no upside in explaining your position. Simply state that the consultant's services are no longer required. The contract with its termination clauses kick in. Severance is paid. Consultant finds other work. Company does whatever it wants.

In fact, many companies now will not provide references for former employees, for much the same reason. They simply provide start and termination dates and, maybe salary, but even salary is unlikely because of privacy laws.

In business, you are there to conduct business. That is, you are there to advance the company's ambitions and goals, and to reduce risk where possible and practical.

I hope that explains why termination letters are exceptionally brief. There's no benefit or upside to a longer letter.

No, we covered both. At least I think Tiger Woods is a sports player?

The considerations for either are similar, as they have many overlapping requirements. After all, professional services are professional services.
