Term vs collocation

Hi

Should I use the word "term" or "phrase" or "collocation" in my questions like this?
Would you say that the term "unpaid volunteer" is OK?

or

Would you say the term "untrue rumour" is OK?

Term - focuses on whether it is a correct thing to say

Phrase - emphasizes that it contains more than one word

Collocation - focuses on whether it is commonly said
