Tenses problem

1. you are working hard today. (the speaker thinks that "today" is the time around now)

2. you have been working hard today. (the speaker thinks that "today" is ???)

3. you were working hard today. (the speaker thinks that "today" is finished)

In second sentence, actually what are the speaker thinking about "today"?

Is the speaker considering "today" as unfinished in 2nd sentence?
