Tenses in complex sentence

What we have done in the past is get X to create the artwork, and then they would send this through to us.

What we have done in the past was get X to create the artwork, and then they would send this through to us.

What we did in the past was get X to create the artwork, and then they would send this through to us.

Which are correct?
Regarding a (if it is correct), why can we use would to express a habit in the past when the previous verbs are present tense (present perfect and present simple)?

Thank you
