Hello, i've searched about this, but i'm still puzzled.
It seems like a sentence can contain multiple verb forms, Such as: i chose bread but an apple is more appropriate or i will be going home. Altough it can have verb forms, is the whole sentence a tense? or there could be more than one tense but seperated by clauses? ( or even a phrase?!)
Top answer
Hi, A sentence often contains a variety of tenses. Here's a very simple example. Yesterday I phoned Tom and tomorrow I will phone Mary.
