Tenses for future hypothetical situations.

Hi all.
I've been having doubts about the use of would have or would have had for a future event.
Consider the following situation:
I'm moving to a new place, somewhere remote and I'm talking about what I think it will be like, so I say something along the lines
"By the time we come back, we will be like zombies because we won't have had anywhere to go"
This makes sense, however if I wanted to speak of it as a less likely situation than a more probable one, I would want to use would instead of will, so then would it be correct to say:
"By the time we come back, we would be like zombies because we would not have had anywhere to go"
Now this situation is in the future, but I'm confused about the use of "would have had" in this context.
