Which one is correct? The question has used for TOEIC exam and the answer in the book "Cambridge test" is (A). However, I don't understand why the answer isn't (B) as we have "recommended" for the first verb and the second should be "continued" with "ed".
Mr. Walton's physical therapist recommended that he...........the treatment until the swelling has gone down. (A) continue (B) continued (C) has continued (D) is continuing
Top answer
After recommended (that), the present subjunctive form continue is correct. Many speakers of BrE are happy to use continued or should continue.
