Tenses and Sentences

I have to decide whether each of these sentences are one of the following:

  1. Future Form
  2. Simple Present
  3. Past Perfect
  4. Past Continuous
  5. Simple Past
  6. Present Perfect
  7. Present Continuous

Here are the sentences and my attempts:

John is working hard à Simple Present

I saw him last week à Simple Past

I was having a bath when the phone rang à Past Continuous

Isabel had finished her lunch when I arrived à Present Perfect

Nigel lives in à Present Continuous

I’ve had a cold for 5 days à Past Perfect

They discussed the problem for three hours à Simple Past

I’ll give him the message when I see him à Future form.

I’m going to teach in next year à Future form.

When I did this on a computer application, it said I got 4/9…I changed probably 1 since then and they are my answers, although I can’t find out why they are wrong either, can anyone enlighten this situation. Much appreciated. Thanks.

It can't be a continuous tense unless it's got an -ing.
Keep that in mind.
