Tenses

Hello,

I've found myself wondering if I am using Past-Simple and Past-Continuous right in my Cover Letter. Could you take a look at it and share your opinion, please? Here is what I am saying there:

I was an intern at XY from February 6th to April 28th 2014. I have been a member of the team working for XY that is the largest producer of XY in the Central Europe. My job consisted of XY

Thank you!

Welcome to English Forums, Sched. I was (simple past) an intern at XY from February 6th to April 28th 2014. I have been (present perfect) a member of the team working for XY that is (present) the largest producer of XY in the Central Europe.

I think that the 'have been' in the second sentence should be 'was'. The first sentence and third sentences tells us that you were an intern in the past. Presumably your membership of the team was part of that past internship.

Thank you for your opinion as well, fivejedjon.

A part of my past internship it definitely was but I feel it is possible I will come back and work in that team again some time. From this point of view, would it be still "was" or is "have been" right now?

Thank you, I am looking forward to your answer.
