From that day on, her legs have been paralyzed and she has sat in a wheelchair. is the grammar correct? i dont think so

Top answer

The grammar is ok but "has sat" is unnatural there. I think I'd say From that day on, her legs have been paralyzed and she has been confined to a wheelchair. Some people suggest using "use a wheelchair" rather than "confined to a weelchair", as the latter is considered inappropriate (by some).
