Tenses

Good morning,

Is there something wrong in the sentence: ". I have been seeking an internship for this summer and while talking to my friend, she told me about this program".
I do want to express that:
- I've started to look for an internship and still didn't find one. So the action is not finished in the present.
- I've talked to my friend (past tense - let's say 1 month ago).

Thank you in advance.
