Can you please check tenses in this sentence:

When my husband does the ironing, a tiny vein protrudes on his forehead. Not that he complains, far from it. But something tells me that his next wife, whatever she is like, will iron flat out.
I wonder should it be:
...But something is telling me that his next wife whatever she would be like, would iron flat out.

Shouldn't it be is telling me and "she'd be like, would iron flat out"?
