Tenses

Hey friends,

I need your help again. Just when I thought my english is OK, I'm stuck in tenses again.

Example:

- I just wrote a whole paragraph but then I deleted it.

- I just write down a whole paragraph, then I delete it.

- I just wrote a whole paragraph, then I delete it.

I would appreciate if you could please elaborate your answer, or if you have any tips or tricks for me in order to remember how and which tenses should be used.

------------------

Also, could you please check these sentences if they are correct?

- Just when I thought that my english is OK, ---

-Would you mind if I ask you a few questions regarding your internet and cable connection?

In the second sentence, I have replaced do with would in order to make the sentence more polite. Is it OK?

Thanks

Sejal
