Hi, teachers
Here go three sentences by Chinese. Are they good English? The differences? Please.

#1- Simple present, Chinese people cherish freedom and peace, it's a fact.
#2-Present perfect, The chinese people cherished freedom in the past and they still cherish it now in the present.
#3-Present continuous.

To my ear, # 1 sounds the best, without the article [the].
We are talking about Chinese in general, not any Chinese in particular.

I would say them just with the to include every one of Chinese persons as a people.
