00I was in XXX on a Saturday morning. I went into a church that had a morning service and attended the service. Not a lot of people were there but offered a serene atmosphere that allowed me to pray earnestly. 01u00It has been some time since I had a chance to attend a morning service on a Saturday morning and felt great about having atttended one -- considering the fact that it offered a great experience afterall02u00. After the service, I went to a nearby store to buy a cup of coffee. It was freshly brewed and I felt good drinking a cup that rendered a great aroma.02br

00I am troubled by the mixed use of present perfect and past. Help.0-

0I would change it to had to be consistent: It had been some time since I had ... but having said that, I have no problem with the present perfect. To me, the use of present perfect here jumps to present time.

0I would change it to had to be consistent: It had been some time since I had ... but having said that, I have no problem with the present perfect. To me, the use of present perfect here jumps to present time. I still prefer to use past perfect. Just my two cents.0-
