Tenses

Is this sentence correct?
"I would not be surprised, if we had come to an agreement by the end of the year."
Could I also use other tenses, eg "...be surprised, if we came to an agreement by the end of the year." Another question would be if "until" could be used here, eg "...be surprised, if we came to an agreement until the end of the year."
Thanks in advance.

Take out the comma. You are projecting how you are likely to feel at the end of the year, when you realize that you had come to an agreement.
