Tense with pray

Hi. I believe I see a lot of the following pattern in the Bible, where the auxiliary verb "may" comes after the word "pray." Is it still in usage and correct? Or is it limited in Biblical usage? I hope my question is clear. Thank you in advance for your help.

I pray that you may be ....
