tense question

Hi, I am writing the sentence "This project will be a significant breakthrough in my career, just as my first project was.", but I am not sure what the grammatically correct verb is.

1. Just as my first project "was"?
2. Just as my first project "may have been"?
2. Just as my first project "had been"?
