Tense Question?

Hi teachers.

Here is a multiple choice question. There is only one correct option.

Despite the rapid advancements, no one knows when computers ---- all the jobs which currently ---- human attendance.

A) perform / are requiring

B) will be performing / require

I think both options are possible, am I wrong? I need an explanation here.

Thank you.

Thank you for your answer.

Why can't we use option A here? What makes it wrong?

Computers will be performing.... would fit the context here, which speaks of a future situation that does not yet exist. Computers perform... would change the meaning to one that speaks of a present situation (which doesn't in fact exist), and which would not really make sense. It would suggest a meaning along the lines of "No one knows what the computers are doing".
