TENSE PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP ME WITH THEM

Question

Could you please help me correct these sentences and help me with the wording and tenses?

1 Why would you think it is free/it was free/it would be free.
2 Hopefully we won't take forever when we start to try/trying to concieve.
3 We will come back when there aren't/isn't a lot of people in line.
4 I'm not ready to see my daughter marry/get married.
5 She allows (herself to do) things that she wouldn't have (allowed herself) before.

All are OK for me, except that they differ in meaning.
A: I (would) think this seat is free. B: Why would you think this is free? Just because nobody's sitting on it doesn't mean it's free!

A: I left the box office without paying for the stuffed toy because I thought it was free. B: You doofus! Why would you think it was free?!

A: I think this country would be free if there was one person who could speak Spanish. B: Why would you think it would be free if....?

I'd go for "start trying"

...when there aren't a lot of people in line...(there isn't a lot of people is chiefly casual English...as in FRIENDS...Joey: There's lots of flavors out there!)
